Workshops

The Creative Human Project offers a workshop that is about creating and crafting movement for still images and film. We combine fun elements of dance and choreography with the adventure of capturing still images in site specific areas around the workshop location. Students will learn how to capture high quality images alongside Sierra Diprose and you will get to keep these images as part of this workshop package. There will also be a series of photographs taken by Sierra and these will be available at an extra cost.

The workshop can be held in either a two hour session, or two one hour sessions (over 2 days, only available in Auckland) . The breakdown of the workshop is as follows:

Session one - A dance/movement class which explores creating movement, specifically for still images and film.

Session two - A class about the technical side of composing images before a practical, photo shooting session, where participants collaborate with us to create their own images.

"Having Sierra in to work with our students has been so valuable. The workshop is engaging, inclusive, and it can be paired to each student's movement ability. The outcome of having beautiful photographs of our class in motion is still providing us with a resource that continues to be used for event posters, marketing, studio walls, and social media platforms. These images are a high quality and stunning archive of the immense talent here at our kura. "

"Thank you so much for the great experience! I just loved it! This workshop is about expressing ourselves and using the space around us. It was really fun, thank you! My main learning from the workshop was to be confident in yourself and to get out of your comfort zone because it could lead you to to other things and teach you new things that you haven't done before and actually like."
